The ideal of a country inn The perfect symbiosis of regional cuisine, creativity and sustainability. Only what is produced itself or comes from the (somewhat expanded) local organic producer community is processed. Even the oil used in the kitchen is self-produced: Johann Fetz grows the oil seeds and sells them to the Andorf oil mill, from which he in turn obtains the oil. Animals are completely recycled, so there are always liver or other offal on the menu - but don't worry, there are also enough alternatives for people who don't like offal (like me, for example). Chevice from the carp, spring roll from the goose or from the roe deer, a small burger from the roe as a starter are just a few examples of the creative use of local ingredients, alongside there are classic scoops, baked carp or sometimes a cordon bleu (but then with mountain cheese and homemade ham filled). Always at a very high level without slipping into snobbery. So far, every meal at the Gasthaus Fetz has been an experience. And at prices like in a normal, middle-class country inn, the three-course menu for less than 30 euros. By the way, it is advisable to bring a little more money and a small backpack: The hall store (a small farm shop in the hallway of the inn offers home-made sausages and oils from the Andorf oil mill and handcrafted products from the region. My recommendation is the raw ham and the smoked sausages .

Excellent food and also unexpectedly high quality in a place where you would expect more classic tavern fare. The ingredients are all regional and you realize that everything is freshly cooked! But then you have to wait a bit longer, which is definitely worth it. The dishes on offer are often exceptional compositions and just something different, I would probably like more vegetarian dishes. Unfortunately I found my meat a bit chewy, but the rest and the desserts were so delicious that I still forgive 5 stars with a clear conscience. Be sure to try and reserve in advance!

Inn in the village. Tasteful decor. The menu changes at intervals according to season. First-class quality of the dishes, own-produced meat from our own organic farm. Price level appropriate to the food level but not expensive. Slight and modest selection of wines. Service very friendly, pleasant atmosphere.
